New Visitor Parking Passes

New visitor parking passes arrived in the mail this week for residents of ANC 6D.  The new pass is purple and has sparkles whereas the old pass is red.  Each pass has a unique ID on the bottom (the ID numbers were removed from the ones above). DDOT created the passes when Nationals Park opened so people who came to visit local residents during baseball games wouldn't be towed. The passes are only valid within ANC 6D. These new passes will expire on September 30, 2013.

Any suggestions for those of us that didn't receive one?

Emily: If you qualify, contact Damon Harvey at DDOT - damon.harvey@ddot.gov

If you live in a high-rise Condo, there is some likelihood that your pass was sent to the street address without any unit number. (This happened to me.) As noted above, an e-mail to Damon Harvey should result in a duplicate pass being sent. According to Mr. Harvey, additional passes are being printed. So, you may need to be patient.

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately, Damon's email did not work - I got a bounce-back.

The e-mail is actually damon.harvey@dc.gov -- that's why Mike got a bounce-back.
