Below is a video from an episode of HGTV's "House Hunters" featuring a Southwester that was looking to buy her first home in DC (the freeze-frame shot in the video isn't in SW btw). Two of the three properties were in Southwest (Tiber Island Riverside Condominium and Waterfront Tower). The show was taped last winter after one of our blizzards, but aired last week. Lots of neighborhood landmarks are featured, including the Southwest Waterfront promenade, the wall surrounding Fort McNair, MPD's 1st District HQ, and Wheat Row. See which property she picked!

She does not see a place in Tiber Island!
Yes, it was not Tiber Island it was 1425 - 4th St (whatever it is named).
Looks like it was actually Riverside Condos, not TI!
My bad...it is Riverside! Now that I actually have a good Internet connection and can see the entire video, I can see that it's not Tiber Island. The person who told me about the video said it was TI, so I deflect the blame :-). The third building is the Euclid in Columbia Heights.
Thanks for sharing this video!!
That's neat to see. They had an episode (clearly, judging from the heaps of snow, filmed around the same time) on last night with a couple looking in Brookland. It's kind of fun to see recognizable neighborhoods rather than generic suburban streets.
